General information about Domestic House Cat :

The domesticated house cat is the most common pet in the world. It is also considered one of the most skilled hunters in the world. They are great for catching mice, and other vermin. But when they come lay on top of you freshly planted sprouts, or continually dig up an area of your garden to poop in, they become Gardening Pests.

They also scare off birds, which can be great Gardening Helpers as they consume tons of bugs.

The cat doesn't notice up and down movement, but even the slightest movement laterally, the cat's eyes will detect.

The cat can hear 8 octaves above a human.

The cat can see in the dark much better than a human.

The cat can't taste sweetness in food.

The cat is extremely intelligent, and it is questionable who is really the "pet" in the human-cat relationship.

The cat pees, poops and lays all over your freshly planted seedlings.
How to get rid of it:
The cat is lazy, and will always take the path of least resistance. Put up a few little fences that are difficult to get in and out of. Motion sensors that make a noise when activated work well. And then there is the dog, but they do almost as much damage as the cat.
