Found on mount Olypus in Utah.

General information about Western Tent Caterpillar Moth :

The larvae of the Western Tent Caterpillar Moth feeds on oak trees and shrubs. This caterpillar will strip the plant of it's leaves, sometimes killing it.

This pest causes problems by:
Chews up the leaves, and kills plants.
How to get rid of it:
Wasps, if you open the "tent" a little, the wasp will get in there are lay down the law.
