I am not a mushroom expert, but I am pretty sure it's a Shaggy Mane or a relative, Coprinus species. I used to see them in our yard all the time, growing up in the Midwest. See this page for pictures: http://americanmushrooms.com/edibles5.htm
Please do not eat any mushroom found growing wild unless it has been identified by a REAL EXPERT - not from a picture and description on the internet. There is no antidote for many mushroom poisonings.
