Flag Pond, TN USA

I have found an orange mushroom next to the woods, that looks like it is from the Cantharellaceae Family, but then in a couple of days it started to look like the big fungi that I have found in the woods next to the path, that become as large as dinner plates. I stops looking like a mushroom, and becomes this huge fungus. I'm just wondering if I have really found the Cantharellaceae Family mushroom, or a whole different species.

I live in the Appalachian mountains of NE, TN. I could send you photos of the growing stages.
