Location: SW Washington state, in a mixed deciduous/coniferous forest. Specimen is terrestrial, growing under blackberries with little to no sunlight.

Brown on top of cap which gradiates outward to a lighter brown. The most recognizable feature is the black stem. Stem is fibrous and central, did not appear to be rooting.

There were no rhizomorphs present. Also many of them had no annulus, I was under the impression that Honey Fungi produced fruiting bodies that invariably had an annulus?
