Although some are edible, almost 95% of all mushroom deaths are caused by the white agarics, namely the Death Cap and the Destroying Angel. This is one type of mushroom, I wouldn't gamble with.

Are the White Agaric Mushrooms edible? I found couple of them on my yard about 6 inches in diameter.

Can puffballs be frozen for preservation?

puffballs can be round or pestel shape. but the do not produce spores through gills, puffballs mature and turn yellow/brown and "burst" with force many many spores, you can actually see these "clouds", in mushrooms with gills spore dispersel is not very violent or amassed.
