Scaly Hedgehog Fungus
Scaly Hedgehog Fungus June 30, 2010
It didn't have any stem. The Scaly Hedgehog is edible. Many sources report it has a bitter taste, but others have found it delicious and suspect that the bitter specimens may be similar related species. On the underside it sports greyish brittle teeth instead of gills, and has white flesh. The spore print is brown. It is associated with spruce (Abies), appearing in autumn. It ranges throughout North America and Europe, although collections from the British Isles are now assigned to another spec Scaly Hedgehog Fungus

Yellow Slime Mold
Yellow Slime Mold June 30, 2010
Many-Headed Slime This is not a fungus, it's an ameoba, which is in it's own Kingdom now (Amoebozoa). The Amoebozoa are a major group of amoeboid protozoa, including the majority that move by means of internal cytoplasmic flow. Their pseudopodia are characteristically blunt and finger-like, called lobopodia. Most are unicellular, and are common in soils and aquatic habitats, with some found as symbiotes of other organisms, including several pathogens. The Amoebozoa also include the slime moulds, Yellow Slime Mold

Morel
  Morel June 24, 2010
Morchella, the true morels, is a genus of edible mushrooms closely related to anatomically simpler cup fungi. These distinctive mushrooms appear honeycomb-like in that the upper portion is composed of a network of ridges with pits between them. These ascocarps are prized by gourmet cooks, particularly for French cuisine. Commercial value aside, morels are hunted by thousands of people every year simply for their taste and the joy of the hunt. The American state of Minnesota has adopted the more Morel

I’ve been out of town for the past few days, and when I watered our front garden this evening I noticed a few of the growths you see in our mulch. It’s spread throughout the area, but it hasn’t reached the plants yet. When I touch them, they burst into a powder “poof”. unknown puff ball mushroom
