General Information

This is one of the first flowers to bloom in spring. Soon after the flowers wilt and don't reappear until the next season.

Kidney-leaved violet reproduces by both sexual and vegetative means.

Smooth White Violet; Viola macloskeyi

Sweet White Violet; Viola blanda
Violets are super high in vitamins A and C. The leaves have as much vitamin C as 4 oranges. The flowers have been used as a garnish, jelly and syrup. However, the roots, rhizomes, fruits and seeds of some violets are poisonous, causing severe stomach and intestinal problems.
