I have one that looks similar at home, it is a lemon tree. Rub the leaves gently and sniff - mine smells like lemon! :)

I used to work in a greenhouse, It reminds me of a type of jasmine we had in the house plant room. I'm used to gardenia's having glossier leaves, but it may be.

Would appreciate any help in identifying this house plant. It was given to me by a friend who is now in a nursing home. Someone suggested it was a gardenia, but I am not certain. I would love to care for this plant as it is now loosing leaves. Thank you!
