I also just found Galium trifidum or northern three lobed bedstraw looks very close also check other varieties of bedstraw or Galium

I found Euphorbia corollata or flowering spurge which looks similiar to this also

the info. I have on the plants says usually 4-petaled, so I assume that means that sometimes it can be different,does it match the other characteristics os sweet woodruff

That's what I thought too. I don't think any members of the Rubiaceae family have 3 petals.
