General Information

3-4 feet tall and across with compound leaves. Large heads of multiple blooms ranging from red to orange to yellow. Each flower has 4 petals that create fan shaped frilly flowers.

Not sure what the scientific name is, but it's very common in the valley- Mexican Bird of Paradise. They can take up a lot of space if you let it. It will bloom all summer, but goes kind of dormant in winter. You can cut it all the way back, and it will come up again when weather gets hot.
