Location

This was found in Utah.

Physical Description
variably prostrate to erect plant, with stems growing along the ground up to 45 cm long, but only reaching up to 30 cm tall. The leaves are oval, up to 3 cm long, and arranged in opposite pairs. The flowers are very small, with four white petals.

General Information

The milk of the different spurge plants was used to induce vomiting. The name Spurge is from the word Purge.

The milky sap can be used as a wound healer. ALthough excruciatingly painful.

AKA Euphorbia maculata

Frequently found in sidewalks, and parking lots.

It grows in sunny locations and a variety of soils, and frequently found as a weed in gardens.

Spotted spurge is very similar in appearance to prostrate spurge (Euphorbia humistrata)
