Arum Genus

Location

Found it growing in my backyard. Probably transported by a bird/seed.

Physical Description
This plant is unusual looking to me. It has a long pale woodlike stalk about 1 ft high. Green leaves and a dark purple-red fringed petal. The center (stamen?) is dark purple tube or pod-like in appearance. It looks like a long thin purple chili-pepper to me, although I don't think that's what it is.
